In a private home, various individuals think they’re coming together for a party. A series of revelations results in a huge crisis that throws their belief systems, and their values into total disarray.
Janet hosts an intimate gathering of friends in her London home to celebrate her political ascension. After her acerbic best friend and others arrive, some with dramatic news to share, an announcement by Janet’s husband provokes a series of revelations. As the sophisticated soiree starts to unravel, a night that began with champagne soon ends up with arguments, shouting and a pointed gun.
Janet, a government official for the resistance party has quite recently been declared shadow serve for wellbeing and is hosting a little celebratory get-together at her home. Welcomed are her companions April, with her repelled German accomplice Gottfried, a holistic mentor and self-declared profound healer, Women’s investigations teacher Martha, with her accomplice Jinny, a cook, and Janet’s partner and subordinate Marianne with spouse Tom, a financier.
Prior to the gathering starts and even after the visitors arrive, Janet’s significant other Bill sits in his seat, tuning in to music, gazing blankly, and drinking wine. All welcomed visitors come, except for Marianne, who Tom says will arrive later.
